Yo guys. I know it's the Easter hols, but if anyone is bored and up near York this weekend then you could pop along to this. The actual website seems to be another gay facebooky/gaydar/myspace thing. But hey, they have events up north, so it's all good.
Okay... the email: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi
I was hoping you would be willing to forward this to your LGB Officer(s) and societies please? Its for a party in York next week, as part of an attempt to create new opportunities for people to meet and socialise away from the scene, and is centred on people meeting up to do things they enjoy - from cinema visits to paintballing to camping trips to reading groups ....
OUT is based on a community ethos, and is based in York - another reason why both its founder and I want this event to be a success! Please pass this on to people you think might be interested.
cheers
Nesh

Hi there
Enjoy meeting new gay and lesbian people? Tired of the limitations of the York scene? Well – this event might be right up your street! A party for LGB people, *in York*, on Saturday March 31st - as the highlight of a whole weekend of events (http://event.outeverywhere.com/276774/) - although the party is what most people will be interested in! It's being held at York St John University's Students Union - so a very student-friendly venue!
The venue has three areas – a large bar, a dance floor, and a chill-out room – so there's bound to be space for everyone to feel comfortable. Dance the night away, socialise and mingle, meet new people – or just chat and chill – its up to you.
The events are being organised through OUTeverywhere, the UK's biggest LGB social and networking website. Members should have already received an invitation; non-members can log on to http://www.outeverywhere.com/york and sign up for the free trial membership (after the trial period they can continue as free members, or choose to become paying members) and then get tickets for the event (£5, including one drink). And of course - it's not just one night - after that you can use OUT to keep in touch with people you have met, and set up and run events - or just go along to events others organise.
