Hey folks. The observant ones of you will have noticed a new section in the forum labelled "The Welfare Network". We are in the process of setting this up, and so once the officers have introduced themselves it will be a space for people to anonymously ask any questions they have.
It is completely separate to these more light-hearted sections of the forum, and so please treat it with respect.
Okay, so for now just sit tight until it's completely up and running.
OK, as we've already had some feedback from someone, maybe not in the best place (please post your feedback on this thread), I shall try to explain some of the reasons behind our ideas.
Firstly, it is anonomous so that people can feel more comfortable with talking about their issues. Not everyone wants people to know who they are, and those that do would probably have enough guts to go and talk to the welfare officers about it face to face.
Secondly, only Welfare Officers are allowed to reply on it because sometimes not all input is constructive. If you have any ideas, PM the Welfare Officer in question and if it may be useful, they will let that person know and ask them whether they would like to talk about it to this person if they are willing (whether that made sense or not, I don't know).
We simply want this space to work so that people feel more comfortable about talking to their Welfare Officers.
