So if you're not really into the whole gay scene as most experience of it is clouded by the whole 'meat market' experience whereby guys are just lecherous where would you advise to go? (apart from coffee hour)
aka....gay places in leeds that aren't actually gay
The society will offer many events during the year which won't involve the gay scene, as well as coffee hours like you mention.
I suppose in terms of nightclubs in general the more alternative nights are more gay friendly and Leeds has a whole host of different nights out on offer. Suck My Left One, on once a month, usually at the common place is a very alternative gay night. It has a much more relaxed atmosphere than the commerical gay nights although it is lesbian dominated.
Hopefully ****pit's new night "Icecream", will live up to it's claims of offering a real alternative to the mainstream gay scene, time will tell.
