Just a point tapped on in the sad day for America post...
Progression of gay rights in this country has been down to the EU, not Tony Blair. Please consider your EU voting seriously, as I'm sure you do. Turnout for the European Parliament election was so so poor. The best way to continue the progression of equality is to protect your EU interests. Whne voting in the national election a primary concern should be the legal status of the European Communities Act. If any party plans to abolish it, they certainly do NOT have my vote! We all banter on, generally, about how the EU is nothing but a hassle and we are losing sovereignty etc. Sometimes losing sovereignty is a good thing. You hardly want UKIP winning (ha!) an election and repealing all your fundamental rights.
Anyway. That's all I wanted to say, because Neighbours is on and I haven't made my tea.
