Excuse me does it not say in the constitution that no member should ever be asked their sexuality or gender? what the hell is this?! do we want to make our trans members feel outcast or are the committee just stupid? this goes against everything that we stand for as a society.
I think this thread is the most appalling instrument to outing individuals in a supposed 'safe space'. in the other introduce yourself threads we do not feel the need to announce sexuality or gender so why is that the case here?
I think you should seriously think about your actions before continuing along these lines of separating people in such a way!
ok, maybe it was a bad idea but i can see that it was put up there to try and help. however, dont you think the whole hubub of the bisexual officer falls under the same catagory? outing oneself, surely not!
Its OBVIOUS that the thread was intended as optional! how bigoted do you think the committee are?! it was meant as a positive space to be used if desired, as requested in another thread by a member - thats it, if you don't approve, don't use it.
