Vote me for trans, because, unlike RON, I chose to run.
Vote me because I'm ready to learn, ready to teach, ready to take advice, ready to reject the advice that I'm ready to question, ready to give advice that I'm ready to give, and ready to research what I'm not; Ready to fight and ready to talk.
I'm ready to know that I want you to be happy.
And for that I value above all, what YOU want to define as. I value it above dictionary definitions, above the press, above the opinions of my best friends, and above my own guesses.
What you choose to define as, what you refuse to define as are yours, as should be your happiness and comfortability within any definition.
I want to be here for anyone who at any time... like many of us do... falls into gender dysphoria. For questions ranging from fitting gender roles to sexual reassignment surgery. I want to talk about all of this with everyone so that the entire society can be an accepting haven for anyone with trans identity.
I've already donated a number of designs for promotion of various LGBT events, and have persisted to seek contact with all in the group. I've made no enemies and continue to make more friends, and am a firm believer in the goodness of people's intentions.
I volunteer by invitation for Scarleteen.com the Internet's top sex-ed site, for whom I write and stay up-to-date on a range of sexual issues, and am fully familiar with web moderating but more importantly am a regular resource for sensitive, thoughtful advice to a range of people.
I want trans members to feel so comfortable that they could be running for this position themselves and will communicate their issues back to committee where I am ready to encourage what I like and advocate against what I don't.
