Does anybody want to come to the opening of an exhibition at the Eyestorm Gallery on Vicar Lane this evening. It's on 6-9 and there'll be wine and posh nibbles. It's all for charity as well.

If culture is listening to something that was once culture, then OK. But surely it is quite snoby, or even patronising to deem what and what is not culture? Surely culture is individual, communal, ever changing? Does something have to be part of a canon - musical, literary or artistic - to be considered cultural? Weren't the works of Picasso and the like deemed uncultural once? Are they cultural now? Or do we no understand there cultural significance then? Does that understanding mean they are cultural now? Is a messy bed 'art', is rap music 'cultural'?
What is culture?
