So what does the impending (perhaps contemporaneous-with-this-message) death of the Pontiff mean to you?
Obviously, there will be no more Popemobile, which is a crying shame. I love that thing. It's like a low-budget forcefield.
Should JP2 have retired? Can the pope retire? What are the (earthly) benefits like - is there a pension scheme? Does anybody know his likely successor? Is the Vatican an Equal Opportunities employer? - I might go for the job - I quite like travelling, and look great in a robe, etc.
Tastelessness and sheer crass idiocy aside, what do you think of the way things are going with regards to the papers practically doing a countdown. I reckon they're having a sweepstakes in the BBC News 24 newsrooms, the insensitive bastards.
(dang, there's that cat oustide my window again, fúcking thing)
I find it hard to have sympathy for a man who publics attacks lgbters and their lifestyles. The new Pope is probably already decided they just go through the ceremony for traditions sake i think.

As far as the Popemobile goes, I think the next Pope will inherit it. I mean, who would turn down a Popemobile? I hardly think it'll turn up on eBay or something.
My friend had a sweepstake over who would die first, the Pope or Pete Doherty. Looks like she won her fiver...
my car is rather like the popemobile-- full of **** and doesn't take corners too well.
RIP karol. long may the twisted fúckhole of an infallible old bítch rot in pergatory for the damage done by his church-- the HIV/Aids crisis in africa among other things. i really hope that when he has to answer to god he has a damn good excuse. i'd stamp on his head if he was still kicking.
