He has to get the LGBT seal of approval, he wears Prada glasses! And plays the guitar and sings beautifully, and cuts his own hair into the funkiest style. And cooks, and washes up, and does foot massage and other nice things ... but enough!
It's going well out here, I've finally understood how things kind of work out here academically, I'm starting to really enjoy my classes, get the confidence to speak out, I even analysed some Lenz today in a seminar of about 40, and who knows? I'd would love to come back in 2007 after finals, maybe to do a phd and lecture in Anglistik [English Studies].
The weather is beautiful and I've been running every day, in fact my thighs really hurt because yesterday I went for an hour's run and two hours of yoga. It's fun to run!
Just got back from a weekend in Munich as well, a lovely city though not as lovely as my beloved Leipzig, and it's more expensive there. Still not as expensive as England, but still. I only have about 200 euros to last me til the end of July, so will be spending more time in Aldi and less time in Cuban restaurant with Benj... But their rice with coconut and pineapple is so fine! And how romantic it is to share dessert.
Ah yes, it's the Leipzig jazz festival right now, and my friend Philippe from school in Kent, who goes to Cambridge and just finished working in Paris in the same job as I'm taking, is coming to stay tomorrow night for a few weeks, it's going to be lovely!
I'm also getting organised re Paris accomodation, thinking of taking a shared house in an old town 20 mnins by bus outside the city, with two gardens and plenty of room for friends. It's not much cheaper than living like Philippe did by the Louvre, but I would have something a bit bigger than his half-a-toblerone-box-flat and would be sharing with two Brits so, ready-made friends!

Awww, I envy you! All I can do here is waste time and money at this time of year! Thanks for the compliment, and as regards running, I still think it's a bit pointless unless you've got a good reason to (like escaping from the rain or a mugger!). It's then I run at my best. When I simply run for the sake of running, I lose my concentration and I normally get sick of it after ten minutes. (Bad secondary school memories....)

Update on my situation in Leeds.... currently hating the law dept for giving us all core modules this year and not letting us have any electives where we cud drop a few marks... found out bout an hour n abit ago that I've failed the whole twatting year by 3marks and have to pay for resits, YAY!!! on the other hand loving the law dept for giving me such a brilliant personal tutor who was really sympathetic and nice to me, as well as been proper fit as per usual. Feel sorry for the other students who have Dr Bitch as their personal tutor, swear down if I'd have had her 4 my tutor and had 2 go thru the "ur not good enuff u dont do enuff" etc speech this mornin i'd have killed her. 3 bluddy marks tho and they r making me pay about £10 per mark, tight-fisted ****s lot of them! Apart from failin one module by 3 marks, everything else wer a 2:2, how ****ing tight r the law dept?

My news? Well, I'm slogging away working 40 hour weeks at the DVLA and nervously awaiting my exam results. If they're good, I'm staying for second year and if not, I'm leaving Leeds to move back to London next year. I might also have a new lady in my life (it's always a lady! What sort of a bi-ho am I, eh?) but I am not being too hopeful, because my love life always seems to go tits up when I plan things.
Otherwise, I have been singing a lot and gigging a lot with a healthy dose of baking on the side. I'm reading lots, learning Spanish, re-learning guitar, designing websites, singing, going to loads of gigs and also running a lot; I've lost half a stone but nobody's noticed! Perhaps we could have a buns of steel competition when we next see each other!
Your life sounds like a wonderful romance novel, but it's nothing you don't deserve. It gives me a happy glow inside just knowing how much fun you're having out there, although of course I miss you to bits and can't wait to see you. When are you going to France? I'll definitely see if I can come over for a long weekend as I'd love to see both you and Paris.
Think of us in Leeds; it's been cold and muggy and wet here, and doesn't much feel like summer.
