Is there anyone left at all that hasn't seen it yet? Everyone seems to have seen it except me. It's gonna finish at the cinema soon and I don't wanna miss out!

fooey. i'm with the TA at 9. would have been nice! My BF went without me! (Shock!) though he did ask before hand so it's not like i can blame him, otherwise it would have never happened! xx
I loved the film, although I understand it might not be for everyone's taste. Ang Lee's style here is quite idiosyncratic (is that how you spell that word?) and his pace is the same as ever... slow and mellow.

I really didn't find it slow. Everyone mentions how long it was and I didn't notice that at all, though I did feel a little lost at the end. We know what happens and yet, in a way, don't know what happens. The movie is full of contrasting feelings and opinions of related, like the daughter and the mother of Ennis, Jack's mother and father, as well as being about loss and pain and horrific, tearjerking sadness.
In a way it seems like quite a painful movie even if it's about love. It's impossible, protracted and yet unforgettable love; the very worst kind.
Pirate DVDs of Brokeback Mountain made it to Turkey months before the official cinema screenings. How was the title translated into Turkish? "Faggot Cowboys".
LOL!
