I feel it is important for the society's exchange and international students to
feel welcome within the society and to have a point of contact. That's where I
come in. If elected for this position I will carry on the good work which Alberto has been doing for the past three decades. (We're going to be having a whip round so that when he retires completely we can have him buried next to Sylvia Plath - if you wanna contribute all major credit cards and paypal are accepted.)

I'll run some events (ask about this in the questions round) and will be an extra pair of hands on the committee to help out with any of the more complex events and so on and will also bring chocolate hobnobs to coffee hours on occasions.

I think I get on with people quite easily and am intrigued by cultural differences in lgbt people. I also have quite a few international friends blah da blah da blah. I was involved with Erasmus schemes at one point too before they shafted me. And for the record there is nothing WRONG with failing core modules. I'm just grade-challenged.

Other stuff: was a teacher for a year in Thailand, that helped out with the whole "otherness" side of culture. Been on the committee before, Men’s Officer, enjoyed it, think I did a good job, stood down to reasons not related to the committee (but those reasons are now undergoing divorce proceedings and not speaking to each other).

I have no political agenda and look forward to LGBT social society, moving
forward merrily sipping the wine of wonderfullness.

And remember, every time you vote R.O.N. - God kills a baby panda.
