Ideas for new events ⇒
→ Charity Events (working in conjunction with other societies to support charities as well as sponsoring our own charities)
→ LGBT Quiz (an opportunity for teams to be picked at random so people can mingle with people in the society and not just their immediate friends)
→ Meet the committee (informal event where people can quietly meet the committee at the beginning of the year)
→ Karaoke (opportunity to show off your talent!)
→ Day trips (an opportunity to leave Leeds for the day to visit a theme park or nearby city)

We promise that…

→ We will organise fun events for you regularly

→ We will involve members as much as possible when deciding on events

→ We will try to be as approachable as possible for new members/at events

Why do we want to be your EVENTS OFFICERS?

We would enjoy organising events for you.
We like meeting new people.
Ww think we would contribute a lot to the committee.
We would enjoy the satisfaction of doing a good job.
We have lots of fresh ideas for events.We think we would contribute a lot to the committee.

What good qualities do we have?

1. Confidential and trustworthy
• We have both taken on positions of responsibility before as Head of Sixth Form (D) and as Sports Rep (G)
• We are both thoughtful individuals who care about the success of the LGBT
2. Communication
• We are both able to command the attention of people and take a leadership role when necessary
• We are able to communicate well with just about anyone
3. Friendliness
• We are both outgoing individuals who socialise well with others and are fun at events!
• We have regularly attended LGBT organised events since being at Leeds

Occupation: official cool people

Aims:
o To listen to members, and to provide them with the events that they want
o To provide events that include all members, L,G,B and T alike!
o World domination
o To have a mixture of drinking and non-drinking events
o To pass on our culinary skills to other members. We make mean truffles, which could be brought to coffee hour!
o To have wild and crazy fun!
o To spread the love.

Why you should vote for us:
o Stuart is a keen karate master, and so can provide protection at events.
o Jeni was picked from hordes of girls to become Thelwall Rose Queen.
o Stuart values all things in nature, as he is a lefty vegetarian.
o Jennifer supports the meat industry and likes steak.
o We are going to a training session on reporting hate crimes.
o We are warm hearted and lovely. ☺
o We have some tip top secret ideas for fab events next year.
