Having been the society’s treasurer for the last year, I would like to continue my involvement with the society by becoming treasurer for another year.

As a Maths student, I feel that this position suits me well and would provide valuable experience for me.

This year I have made sure that the society has been well funded and that accounting records have been kept up to date. The financial process changed last year, with our external bank account being moved to an internal account within LUU and I am now familiar with how it all works, and so hope to integrate this new system with some new ideas, for example improving the way in which money is spent by committee members and the process in which money is refunded.

Curious was a massive success this year, and we made a tidy profit. I will budget to make sure that all events are as successful and that any profits are used to make subsequent events even better. I will also be working closely with the elected events officer(s) to make sure that all events are financially viable and accessible to all members.

I am a smiley, friendly person and I am open to all and any suggestions from society members about fund raising and I will try to implement these as much as possible.
