CHRIS for SECRETARY!

I’ve been an active member of the LGBT society for over a year. As a result I am guessing that most people here will know me from either Coffee Hour meetings or at society events that I regularly attend. I’d like this opportunity to run for society Secretary in order to keep the group open and friendly to new and existing members, and to have some responsibility in its running. I’m well organised and approachable to anyone who has any queries and would take seriously all other roles required of committee members, such as attendance at LGBT functions and events.

I have a list of goals that I’d like to achieve over the course of the year as Secretary:
 Ensure the committee meets every two weeks
 Make all minutes from meetings freely available to members
 Raise the profile and member knowledge of the constitution
 Act as a liaison between committee and normal society members to help in putting forward ideas and raising issues at society committee meetings.
 Create an LGBT DVD and book library for all members use
