MYSTERY EVENT/SUMMER PARTY
Or should I say Summer Party! Yes all the details are now final. Our end of year blowout will be taking place on Tuesday 8 June in The Lounge in the Union (it’s behind the Essentials shop). It starts at 7.30.
There will be free (yes FREE!) cocktails, wine, cider (6% ABV!!) and non-alcoholic punch for everyone and a free buffet. Fun and games including Giant Jenga and Twister, this year’s awards (things like Best Eurovision costume, campest mince, sexiest members, cutest couple etc etc), a RAFFLE with brilliant prizes and, of course, hand made decorations.
Afterwards we’ll be heading over to ThinkTank to join Leeds Met LGB in their end of year celebration with cheap drinks and funky people.

Q-BALL
Every year Durham’s LGBTA organise a summer ball to celebrate LGBT people! This year it’ll be on Friday 18 June at the Three Tuns Hotel in Durham. Tickets are a mega cheap £25, and this gets you a cocktail reception with a string quartet, four course meal followed by a disco and bar until 1.30am. It starts at 7pm. I’ll be driving up there as may someone else so there’s potentially space in two cars! If you’re interested in coming then send us an email or make use of the Q-Ball Thread on the leedslgbt.co.uk forum.

ARTS AND CRAFTS AT COFFEE HOUR
Unfortunately there will be no coffee Hour next Monday and Tuesday as the Union is closed. However Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see us go completely Blue Peter as we dabble in some arts and crafts fun! We’ll be making decorations for our Summer Party, as well as papier maché masks, paper plate models and other arty things! Just come along, 12 till 2 p.m. Meeting Room 4 in the ARC (upstairs in the Union). You don’t need to bring anything as we’ve already been out to buy all the materials and glue and glitter and paints and things like that, and you don’t even need to pay anything! How cool is that? Very cool methinks.
