yes, so, this week has been quite eventful. it started on monday, when i saw not one, but 2 dead bodies. one had been shot in the street, and had a policeman stood over him to stop people from trampling on him. the second was on the metro, and seemingly had been for some time. he stank, and had shat himself, and emptied half a carriage, at rush hour!
later in the week, i was looking rather well decorated with eye-liner and purply nails, and i got called the devil, and punched, by various people..... oddly enough, in our conversation class the next day, our topic of disscussion was "homophobia"!
so, after witnessing a group of 30 skinheads beat up a chechen yesterday, i got a cold (march is a dangerous month, because you think its warm when the ice melts, but its only 3'C, so u still get ill)....
on theplus side, i'm off on an adventure next week, well, my train leaves tonight! - helsinki (moomin land!), petersburg and ...erm...murmansk, a city in the artic circle, 36 hours away by train....it'll be ace!
that is absolutely shocking...so far iīve had the luck not to witness anybody throwing themselves on the underground lines, but some of the other interns here already have....
i would advise staying at least a mile away from skinheads dude...

Ah you see thats why my grand father hated russia that and the whole soviet union thing incidently I was down near hume house the social services building and an old man was laying dead on the stairs so guess the moral of the story is no matter where you are in the world the majority of people dont care

yes, indeed, although the grannis (babushki) are worse - they have sharpened elbows! i lost my passport last week and a grannie called the immigration police insisting that i was a spy! i had to pay a 30 quid straf (fine) ah, the joys.......
Hey special k, at the moment I am in Munich, in Bavaria - the bit of germany in the south that the rest of the germans donīt want, and the bavarians want independence for, lol
also just so happens to be the beer capital of the world (and where hitler got his start in politics...). There are lots of skinheads around the city, and last night I shat myself when I could hear whistles and shouting and the sound of marching feet...luckily it was only a trad union demonstration, but living on the edge of a big turkish quarter, i wasnīt exactly put at ease!!

I'm quite excited to spending a year in Russia, got a year in Japan to go first though, which obviously is going to be the best though I dislike all the kanji, didn't know one of the characters in a test which screwed me over fully as then couldn't answer the questions as I didn't have a clue what was going on with this particular kanji. I fully intend to live with a Babushka though, Russian grannies are the best, borsch for all.

heheh! i went to the football derby yesterday - spartak vs cska! it was great! i was stood next to a crazy with a fire cracker, who put his foot through my chair in anger when the goalie got sent off! i got frisked 5 times, and 2 policeman stole some of my cigarettes!
my housemate steven had 600 roubles robbed from him today, and i had 200 robbed on wednesday night.
....but worry ye not, the majority of russians are very friendly!!!!!
so, it was hitler's birthday yesterday, which meant that the old skinis were out in number. unfortunately for me, it was also my friends birthday, so i was drunk in the park, singing songs from old school telly programmes. not a problem you'd think, until we got to dad's army!!
also, 'hitler has only got one ball - stalin has two but very small....' turned a few heads too!
fortunately, i think most people thought we were hooligans, rather than drunk foriegn gays, so we didn't get killed.....never a dull moment here! x
