Went to canal street for first time ever last night. Gotta say wasn't that impressed. The bars were amazing and much better than the ones in leeds but we went to poptastic and i have to say (at the risk of being verbally attacked by alice and john) that i much prefer mission

i gotta say i was never really impressed with manchester. its not a bad night out, i just never thought it was worth the effort or the money to get there. and bus/train rides back to leeds at 4 in the morning are hell.
but i went a couple of weeks ago and had a great night, mainly cos we stayed over and i didn't pay a penny for the hotel.
even i've been getting bored of mission though. any change of scene is good every now and then.
Yeah. Well I'm perfectly happy for the type of people that actually like Mission rather than tolerate it to dislike Poptastic. It means there's less chance of that type of person ruining my cool night at pop :)
You're quite entitled to have an opinion about Poptastic. As I and others are about Mission. It's **** and so are its dedicated clinetle.
One thing about Leeds I will certainly not miss is the scene. Especially those places inhabited by pilled-up fibre queens who shop at Harvey Nics.

its not that it was bad, twas pretty good. i did also like the escape from the leeds scene but the place wasnt that nice and the ppl there were strange and exceptionally queeny. Dunno, i just like mission more. Maybe i'm naive but i nvr really notice the pill heads as i just have a good time with my friends.

I must admit, I always have the best nights out when I'm with my friends, regardless of where I go. Though the decent music and friendlier atmosphere in Poptastic makes it for me.
