Are we going to be having a meeting at any point this term? Just wondering cause it seems a bit hard to have an assembly if there are never any meetings. I know Nic did a fantastic job and did so much but how can other people get invovled if there are no opportunities to take part. Not getting at Joe eith cause I know hes only just taken over. I know I'm only here till june so feel free to slap me in the face and that we all have a lot on at the mo but shouldn't we start planning now for freshers week.

Short answer 2 your question, No we aren't. Its exam time and then people are going home so its inconvient for one to be organised, plus people would rarely turn upto them anyway, which is why they wernt held.
Like I've said before people could have e-mailed us, I've posted on this forum asking for help and involvement, asked people in coffee hours, arranged workshops etc & been contactable 24/7 and nobody was interested in getting involved or made any effort to. The opportunities have been there all year long, people just haven't took them.
The planning & stuff for next year will be sorted out over summer following summer conference and the handover period cos there's alot to go through. Once all thats done and dusted then the planning for the next year can be done us and as always we'll keep people informed.
Other than that arranging a meeting at this time of year is near impossible cos theres loads goin on in the union for the end of year and prep for summer training n handovers, plus tying up business we've been working on all year.
Hope that answers your question and again sorry for not running meetings that had poor attendance n low productivity.

Thanks for answering NIc I know its been an uphill struggle for those who have been involved and that things were badly attended which was even more frustrating.
Thanks again for all you and Joe have done on our behalf.
At least people aren't holding the forms and doing **** all with them before ditching them on a table and leaving them in coffee hour.

Sorry, was a case of crossed wires, I got told they'd just been left on a table. Found out actual story at meeting yesterday. So sorry.
