Trans is a term that umbrellas a number of purposes. But primarily it was a role created back in the forming in this lgbt to address issues that would arise for anyone who has a different make up in terms of sex and gender than those that who would be specialised in by mens & womens officers.

It should be empowering to transfolk, and fight for representation and freedom to feel perfectly at home here (and everywhere else in the uni - and the world!).

Definitely post on this board if -

* You're confused or upset about
who you think you are,
what anyone else thinks you should be,
how to describe your own gender

* You want to know what to do in some particular crisis
* You want to know something else about gender
* You want to know words to use in different issues.
* You want to know how the society works, and have questions/suggestions.
* You just want somewhere to vent
* You simply want to chat about something trans related

It's a great place, and I (and other officers) will be here for you almost instantly.
