There will, of course, be the usual madness of coffee hour and weekly wind down, curious and trips to Razzmatazz and Homo, Boys and Girls meals etc, but there is so much more we could do.
So, apart form Blackpool, what do you want to do?
Here are some of my suggestions:
*More cinema and theatre trips -Alexander is on in the new year and it would eb nice to arrange a meal and cinema trip.
* February is LGBT history month, and we want to get involved, so video nights and a stall might be in order.
*February is also the week when we will hold our Sexuality and Gender Awarness week (With a focus trans awarness) - we'll have guest speakers, video nights, workshops - but we need more. Stalls, perhaps a magazine or anthology, campaign focus points, kiss-ins and general madness are in order I think
*Manchester will soon have its own Queer History Trail, and a trip over to Manchester to go on it, and have lunch might be nice.
*A trip to Climax in Sheffield, which is alwaysa good night out.
*A trip to Liverpool to sample the scene over there.
What do you think

The climax suggestion, can it b held in march? Simple reasonin been that its mine n Laura's birthday on the 10th of march & climax is on the 11th march, so it'd b a brilliant excuse 4 a joint birthday bash. How bout having a ball as well?

We would do a ball, cept they cost a load of dosh to put on. We find just going out for a big meal, doin a club night or havin a BBQ does the trick and is less formal. But if there is enough interest we can sort it out ;)

yeh, im liking bowling. you can all watch me gracefully start to bowl and then slide down the lane with my finger stuck in the ball amid a girly scream. no to paintballing tho, as fun as it may be, someone may lose an eye. go karting wud be cool, have to psyche myself up for it tho. yes to fundraising, ah, i remember at primary school, we used to have our own little stalls in the village fair, was wicked! hehe.
Yeah i know wot u mean bout it been a good chance 2c ur mates, cos my birthdays on a Thursday (Homo) I cud either pop down home on the Wed nite 4 chezzy's gay nite n c chezzy lot or go 2 climax n see me m8's from chezzy, sheff, dronny n rotherham. So climax is the better option, it'd b great 4 society 2 come along 4 nite out.

Adam and Phiol have already admitted they are scared of the ball to me! Rich! Me and my breeder mates are gonna be playing football for fun next semester, so if u wanna play, come along... i get the feeling nic's interested x
i bought my footy boots (wi rugby studs in), shinnys, astros n everything, used em once n have been told 2 stop playin footy n rugby competitivley by gits in white coats. Kickarounds n charity matches shud b alr8 tho. Get me on pitch :o)
Cud do other charity stuff like tug of war n all, can we do sponsored breeder bashin?

You will never find 11 gays who are brave enough 2 go near a football, theyre horrible and usually muddy and they hit u in the face and they hurt and then u cry and every1 laughs at u - look what uve done my childhood trauma is all resurfacing :( - I will be available to cheer, and lead, and act like I'm on speed tho

I think you should go as a farmer, as masculine as possible, with a pitchfork, peaked cap and a Pogues CD playing melancholy tales of woe... i'll buy you a drink if you do x
But do remember that there are several other bodies within the union that fundraise.
StopAids is very active, and 'Action' and 'Rag' are both affiliated to the union, have exec position and are powerful fundraising bodies.
I'm not saying that I am unwilling to do anything - because I am. But with all the other stuff we do, it *might* be better to leave the fundraising up to them.
We could always make Curious for chairty though, or have a ball where proceeds go to charity. Or something or other!! lol.
