i thought that no-one needed them anymore. Gmail's nice but then it doesn't do POP3 so at the moment it's a little useless to me.

I use it to store all the crap emails like newsletters and company info that people send out... at least it archives them.

gmail = interesting, but when on earth are they going to come out of beta; if ever. Keeping it relatively closed does allow the network to analyse itself better - they can see all the links that people have to one another.

But then I got mine through my website so that kind of messes up my own theory...
