just watched fahrenheit 9/11 for the first time, and thought it was amazing. was a bit dissappointed to start with cos it just seemed to be lazy 'bush is a twat' kind of journalism and i didn't really think his arguments were that great, but about half way through it got really good. i nearly cried so many times.
i think the most poignant bit was when that woman had a complete turnaround in her opinions after her son was killed in iraq. watching her just standing infront of the whitehouse unable to speak was really moving.

have you read 'dude, where's my country?' it's kinda the book behind the film. a great read, although towards the end it tends towards sensationalism. i'll lend it ya if you like.

i think that dfarenheit 11 was a very good film and i believe in what it is trying to do in getting the american people to question the government system. however we must remember when watching the film that it is totallt biased and just because we believe in the views that it holds it does not necessarily mean that all the facts are correct.

i didn't watch the whole thing. it was far too biased, obviously, and so it just got on my tits.
it was listing americas allies in the coalition, and it was making the point that the countries which supported america were basically a group of nobodies, but it then blatantly left out britain cos it would've stepped on its point just a little.
i just think it bad journalism, but what do i know.
yeah, that was part of the bit that annoyed me at the start. but further in, when it stopped with the crappy journalism and started with the horrendous pictures of iraqi victims it got really moving.
