I remember hearing a story that one of the north-european countries like finland or norway had a party who had a rival candidate in an election shot for being gay

Did anyone see the BNP on the tele the other day launching "their" election campaign? I've never been to quote my good friends at the "Daily Hate Mail", so "shocked and appauled" in my life. A load of them were demonstrating in Leeds singing one of my favourite hyms "Jerusalem", the words written by the great English poet William Blake. I could nothing more horrifying. Blake was a utopian, an early socialist/anarchist, as well as a man who believed that humanity should exist in a common brotherhood/sisterhood. His hym is not some kind of racist football chant, althought that's what its been reduced to by those Nazi scumnbags, it is about building a peaceful sociert of equality, justice and pleasantness, a jewel among the nations. It is not a hym about English Superiority or xemaphobia, it is a call for a better world, a loftier England and English Liberty. I'm disgusted by their use of such a great man's words to defend their narrow dream of a little wicked, snobish, racist, unfeeling, Elitistt England which I pray never comes to pass. I love my country, lets not let the BNP ruin it for the many colours, creeds and peoples which shelter under the English sky:
Bring me my bow of burning gold: Bring me my arrows of desire: Bring me my spear: O clouds unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire.
I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand Till we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land.
Jerusalem is here the symbolic residence of a humanity freed of the inter-related chains of commerce, British imperialism, and war. Blake's "mental fight" is directed against these chains Such a world is going to be achived by us, the next generation of radical thinkers and reformers, LGBT people among them, not by little priggs like Nick Griffin aka uncle Adolf and his party of biggots.
we shud have a Nick Griffin whack, know like they do at kids parties... beat that thing wi large sticks until sweets fall ou, well we cud have fun just tying him up n beating the hell outta him

or maybe we should put dolls of him on bombfires on November 5th, or better still put a frework up his Nazi ass, sorry but love of your fellow human being can only stretch so far.
sorry, but im in a bad mood and i say screw jerusalem this is england, not israel. what has a song about hot jerusalem got to do with wet, miserable, cold england and her politics?
leave religion out of secular politics, that way there is one less device with which parties like the BNP can push their agenda.
grr, sorry im in a bad mood.

Hey Sash love, why in a bad mood? Think happy thoughts. Jerusalem's not just a place, its supposed to have symbolic spiritual mumboo jumbo connected with it too. It's supposed to be the holy city where in the Messianic Age we'll all live in peace and love and where they'll be no more bad moods. Ask you're dad, he'll explain the detail, but I'm still pissed with the BNP, its a good hymn, do a techno mix and they play it in mission!
i know about jerusalem, really i do lol. just doesn't apply to me seen as i dont believe in any messianic age, and neither do i think it's use is appropriate in conjunction with politics. damn extremist nationalists.
hmm. i think i need some more rocky rhode that my friend and i made last night...shame it's all at hers, lol.
me xx
