Anything you really want to hear on Tuesday night?!
Post it here and we will try our best!
I am thinking of playing Alanis Morrisette - You Oughta Know, just because it reminds me of Poptastic Manchester when I was 16.
Me and Ally are also thinking of playing a selection from: The Libertines, PJ Harvey, Tori Amos, The Coral, The Distillers, David Bowie, Le Tigre, Pulp, Placebo, Bloc Party, Martha and the Muffins, Gravy Train, Peaches, Futureheads, Garbage, The White Stripes, The Rolling Stones, Diana Ross, The Muffs, Morrissey, Patti Smith, Charlotte Hatherley, Sleater Kinney, Blondie, The Cure, Babes in Toyland, William Shatner, Bikini Kill, Help She Can't Swim, April March, Skunk Anansie, Bob Dylan, Indie Kylie, Babyshambles, The Kings of Leon, Courtney Love, The Killers, The Ordinary Boys, No Doubt, The Strokes, Princess Superstar, Razorlight, Elastica, Kate Bush and loads more.....

It will all be in JK & Ally's set, because they have 2 hours.
I'm not doing any requests apart from for Kylie (see other thread) cos I'm in a huff after I offered to do a chilled-out set at the beginning then john decided to steal it for himself.
As protest I'm going to be playing a set of exclusively Brazilian Psychadelic Trip-Hop Fusion, possibly along with some South American BeBop. And of course, Judy Garland.
Don' listen to Nic! She played the drum and bass tune for me this afternoon. It's a speeded-up, looped version of the Happy Tree Friends theme, and goes on for about five minutes.
Can Nic and I do a karaoke version of '(W)hole Again', please?

Or some Ladytron/DJ Shadow/Postal Service?
Like to see some Bjork in the chill out mix too, cause she's the bestest, maybe Hyperballad or something, I dunno.
I love Bjork, she's the títs. "
Was thinking of Big Time Sensuality (I put it in my cd case anyhow). Not to sure where I could fit Basement Jaxx in though. Hmm. And I hate Ladytron. So No.
Chill out is gonna be less dancy tracks methinks:
The Rolling Stones - Paint it Black Patti Smith - Gloria Diana Ross - You Keep Me Hangin On The Cure - Boys Don't Cry - Belle and Sebastian - I'm a Cuckoo David Bowie - Something or other
and other bits and bobs. Maybe Bjork. Joga? But not twice.

Actually, some Pixies would be ace. 'Where is My Mind' or 'Debaser', possibly? (It's less depressing and more fun to dance to than The Smiths/Morrissey!)
You might not see this now. I'll see if I can communicate it telepathically.
There's a club if you'd like to go You could meet somebody who really loves you So you go and you stand on your own And you leave on your own And you go home and you cry And you want to die
When you say it's gonna happen "now" Well when exactly do you mean? See I've already waited too long And all my hope is gone
Way to make all the gayers depressed!
Actually, that reminds me, I think John asked me to bring Bigmouth Strikes Again.
I think I am gonna play 'First of the Gang to Die' just because it reminds me of some good times over the summer. Would like to have played Sweetness or Big Mouth, but nay, I fear.
As for the pixies, I have debaser. But I don't think it is very dancey.
Maybe i should have posted this earlier so i could have got things together!! :P
I do have about 80 CD's with me and Ally will have loads too, so just ask.
Metally Rock stuff will be in Tash and Backis set so ask them.
Oh and has anyone heard The Subways 'Oh Yeah'. Think I am gonna play that. Maybe alongside 'Oh Yeah' by Babes in Toyland. Tenuous links are my favourite. I also am linking The Muffs 'Kids in America' with Charlotte Hatherley 'Kim Wilde'. Clever huh? ;)

I know it's a bit late now, but as cool as Hands Around My throat is, it's not really dance-able is it? That's a Sh!t-hot album, by the way. I like Leather. x
