here we go. another cliquey back patting thread, but oh well, here goes.......
This week has been brilliant and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
I think there are loads of people we all need to thank for there hard work:
The leaving committee: Thankyou for concieving this baby! Your support, advice and guidance has been wonderful. Thankyou.
The new committee: Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou. You are all fabulous and I know that the society is going to go from strength to strength with you at the helm.
Nic: Seriously, I have to keep telling you, that I think you are the bestest most fabulous girl ever. You friendship, advice, hugs, madness and hard work are beyond any appreciation that I can show you. I am glad to call you a friend and fellow committee member.
Joe: You are fabulous and have worked so hard this week. Thanks also for cleaning the office. :P
Rich: Your beautiful program was never seen by the world but your hard work on the postcard and website is great. Thankyou so much. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Smile Bitch, Smile!
Phil: Just when I needed it, you came up trumps with chocolate. Your thoughtfulness and friendship are much appreciated
Evie: You are officially the best hugger in the world. Again, your friendship, advice, kind words and hard work are appreciated. x
Adam: Your LGBT in Music poster made me laugh. You hard work, sarcasm and friendship are similarly appreciated. Thankyou xx

Alison: Few people realise how much you have worked for this week. You know how much I appreciate you.
Ross: You are one fabulous person. I appreciate your friendship and banter. You never fail to amke me smile. Thankyou.
Drew: I am so glad that we have become friends. Your hugs and advice and comedy have made this week much easier for everyone.
Sasha: I love you. Thankyou for your help this week. Your friendship has been really important to me the past couple of weeks and I am going to miss you next year.
Alice: Thankyou for being ther this week and reping the ladies and the bisexuals. I hope that we soon allow Bi-Hobos into the society. They need representation. Your hard work this week is beyond thanks. But thankyou anyhow.

John & Ally: U've been nothing short of amazing this week, thanks for organising it, making the sparkly shirts, keeping everything running smoothly, puttin on such informative workshops & providin so much guidance. Special thanks 2 Ally 4 providing us with loadsa photo opportunities at events this week :oP & John I can't do enough 2 thank you for supplyin chocolate this afternoon, cuddles all week etc, I think ur absolutley top!
Alby: Cheers 4 keepin me in ciggies over the last week n all the cuddles etc.
Phil: 2 words, Easter Egg! I love you for the much needed sugar boost! & thanks for helping out with all the last minute flyering last friday

Thank you everyone for putting on a fantastic week. I really enjoyed it and got a lot out of all the workshops I attended.
It was great to talk to people that I hadn't really had the opportunity to get to know before, and I think the discussions held during the week have given us some good ideas about what to focus on over the next year.

Thanks to the committee for all their hard word, all of those who graced the Queer Week stall with their presence, and everyone who came to any events.
If I named names, I'd be here for a long while, but thanks to John K, Sash, Scouse Dave and Evie for being incredibly supportive and provided much-appreciated amusement during what's been a pretty tough week for me.
And, of course, special bi-hobo love to my partner in crime Nic. Giver of hugs, drug baron, bearer of strong opinions and sympathy, and you really are one of a kind. I love you to bits, even if your hands do wander on occasion.

And a very big thankyou to your good self too for being the (at least perceived) backbone. It was absolutely excellent.
Obviously from my standpoint I am especially grateful for the firm stand you have been prepared to take on transphobia but the week was of course addressed much more widely than that alone.
I know it might almost sound like a cliche but actually standing up in one of the workshops and saying 'I am a lesbian' has had a powerful effect and I feel it has done a lot to help me overcome the lingering effects of the exclusion I have experienced in the past.
For all of us to have the opportunity to do things like this in a supportive and confidential setting is a wonderfully affirmative thing.
I would like to add my thanks not only to all the committee for their unseen work from behind the scenes that made it possible but also to all members who came and contributed by their presence to any and all of the workshops. We even had some straight people attend at workshops which added an extra perspective that we would have otherwise missed.

John, honey, you know you're one of my closest friends too. If only you spoke grammatical Spanish! ;o) I know you said Queer Week is the work of many people, but even though it might not have been the same without us, it would have been indeed much different (or non-existent!) without you. Brilliant job. And I know I can get a bit moody when you're in one of your annoying moods yourself. But, you know, these things are only made of clay, but our love is here to stay!
Nic, you've been an absolute star this week! And you too, Joe! You've been two of the most reliablet people at the stall, and I felt that no matter how stressful things could get, you were always there to help!
Everyone's done such a good job this week I just couldn't go on thanking everyone because, to be honest, I couldn't put it any better than other people already have.
Just another thankyou to my darling Evie, who was really great and helpful at the debate workshop. (I wouldn't have survived without you, honey!)
I think the best proof for me of how amazing this week has been is how sorry I am it's over! It's certainly been one of the highlights of the year, and I might not be proud of being gay, but I'm proud of our LGBT.

In response to your question my darling Annie, overdraft heißt "Kontoüberziehung" auf Deutsch und buggered als Verb "im Arsch gefickt" heißt. Aber, als Slangwendung soll man "Ich/du/usw gehe/gehst/usw vor die Hunde" (wie "Oh crap...I'm buggered!") benutzen.
Hoffentlich, geht es dir alles noch gut! Ich wunsche dir alles Liebe und Glück zum Auslandssemester und hoffe auch, dass du mir aus Frankreich viele Emails schicken werdest!!

yeah i meant to actually goto something during queer week but i was a bit busy. was supposed to goto mission but hadn't recovered from the night before :( i shall make more of an effort after easter.
