Come on .. lets fess up and confess our desires in movies

Offer up your favourite lesbian movie, the scene you liked most from that movie and why you love it so much. Also feel free to list all the movies you've seen and loved from the list shown in the poll.

Movie:
Scene:
Why.

Oh and boys, jump in with your thoughts too.

Movie: Fire
Scene: Where Rhada and Sita flirt with each other openly yet it code within the kitchen. So adorable.
Why: Because it explores opening your heart to chance, the pain that can be felt but also the gentle and also explosive exploration of a new desire. I think its been beautifully done and commend the director for making this movie despite the sheer controversy surrounding it (which perversly wasn't due to the women loving women aspect, but rather a clash of religions I believe.)

Well .. I'm an avid lesbian movie fan and although most are terrible in quite a few ways each have their own highlights. My latest favourites are: Desert Hearts, The Hunger, Fingersmith, Tipping the Velvet and Foxfire.

Enjoy and I can't wait to see the poll results. Maybe we can set up a movie night offering a movie that most have not seen, I have about half of the movies on this list in my dvd collection ;)

I haven't seen most of the movies there, but three or so I have:

Better than Choclate - which I love. especially the songs! I think it is both sad and funny nad inspring all at the same time. And I love the bit where the straights are shagging and she shoves the butt plug up his ass as he is ****ing her! Amazing! lol.

But I'm a Cheerleader: Hilarious! 'I like Balls'. Funny, well observed and interesting.

If these walls could talk 2: Moving (I nearly cried) and well written, acted and observed. I like the the song that Ellen and Sharon Stone dance to at the end as well. What is it called again?

I hate bound, its one of them films that u can't watch with the sound on or off, how ****in annoyin is jennifer tillys voice, makes u wanna strangle her. Tipping the velvets good but nancys voice is ****in annoying!

Film: But I'm a cheerleader
Scene: Clea Duvall in the black shirt/the piss poor cheerleading/dude dancing round wi the grass strimmer
Reason: Cos she looks well fit!/hilarious/again hilarious

Film: Gia
Scene: Angelina jolie in buff/gettin back on moddeling track but takin coke again
Reason: ermm cos shes well fit

Film: Incredibly True Story...
Scene: Mother walkin in2 bedroom n havin a hissy fit
Reason: jus found it amusin, can't watch that film tho, makes u wanna smoke every time u c a fag, which is every 2 seconds

Film: Monster
Scene: Where shes talkin at the end
Reason: Shows the women can be real manipulative bitches & all **** they can cause

Film: Better than chocolate
Scene: "I'm not a ****ing drag queen"
Reason: Decent song & well it highlights sum aspects of transphobia that are present in scenes

Film: If these walls cud talk 2
Scene: all of the 2nd bit
Reason: its good 2c sum1 tellin their mates 2 **** off n accept/love a person 4 who they r

I LOVE Better Than Chocolate!! Just a fantastic feel good film, and I love the opening song 'Sexy'..Really want to get the soundtrack! I also think If These Walls Could Talk Two is incredibly moving and I love the portrayal of the relationships in the 1st and 3rd stories. And Gina Gershon in Bound is absolutely bee-yoo-tiful!xx

i love If These Walls Could Talk 2....

i watched it at the urging of my extremely butch gay mate mickey (dutch, go figure!) and burst into tears at the first part - i had to run out of the room cos i couldnt stop sobbing! lol

still makes me cry even to think about it, lol.

fantastic film. got me thinking about a lot of issues that i hadn't begun to face yet, like partnership rights, visiting rights, etc.

i liked better than chocolate from what i saw of it as well - im gonna have to steal it from somebody for a night...

me
xx

i know i know, i just feel bad cos i got the DVD, tried to watch it, and then BOOM - it breaks, lol. i guess it's my sense of natural clumsiness that leads me to think im usually the cause of all damage that happenes in 100 mile radius, lol

when i was a kid, i managed to break 20 plates, about 5 glasses, and a couple of cups...all with one cup, lol. how is THAT for damage? lol

me
xx

But I'm a Cheerleader where she has that sign that says
"Silly faggot, dicks are for chicks" - Hilarious!!

Aww, gotta say I love bound, even though her voice is annoying! Tipping the Velvet and any Sarah Waters for that matter, are ok by me!
