i am just a bit worried about the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex...
i recently gave oral sex to a mature man for approx 3-5 minutes..he did not ejaculate in my mouth and i have no noticeable cuts in my mouth
i asked the man if he had been tested recently, he said no because he didnt feel the need to becuase he always practices safe sex (with anal)...
he is very reasonable and polite but i am really quite worried...waht are the chances that he caught HIV through oral sex with another man and then i caught it off him
i have done some research but oral sex seems to be a bit of a confusing area...some say i am not at risk because he did not ejaculate in my mouth....
while it is true that transmission of HIV by means of unprotected oral sex is less likely than it is through unprotected anal sex, the possibility of transmission cannot be ruled out. The HIV virus is present in both semen and precum; the fact that he didnt come in your mouth is good, but precum may still have been present in your mouth.
if you are still concerned for your health, I suggest you go for a sexual health check up now, to check that you dont already have any problems, and then again in about 3 months time to ensure that you did not receive anything from the man.
