i hav found the best and the new, the most amazing gay iconic singers (well a band, in this case) of the 21st century.

and it has to be.. Basement Jaxx...

how good was their bloody gig for whoever went...? AWESOME!!

soz for ranting on.

I hate sweat.

At the Futureheads, a fat sweaty hairy dwarf kept flicking his hair onto me.

It minged.

I don't think I'd call basement jaxx the new gay icons though.

Erm.....HELLO!

Surely you've left out the Scissor Sisters?

In any case, Helena and Bob's band Jean Genet are definitely the gay icons for 2005. Even beating off competition from the Bananarama reform. (Sorry, Nic.)

They may not compare exactly, but we should support local talent! What's the likelihood you'll catch Jake Shears' pants at a Scissor Sisters gig?

didn't he take them off on stage at T in the park last year? NME were paying good money for any who caught it on camera.

Yeah, but considering only about 50 people watch Jean Genet, your likelihood of catching aforementioned pants is much higher.

(I'm a fangirl, I'm allowed to mock.)

I love them very much.

of course basement jaxx is a gay icon,

especially since they announced that they are in fact a couple!!

they shud be credited just for being able to work together as a couple. but of course thats not the only reason why they are an icon, if that was the case Richard and Judy would be gay icons also lol

the thought of it...

Would that not also make the Chuckle Brothers gay icons?
