RIP Mo Mowlam
Permalink

what is it with labour MPs falling over and dying this summer? this AND richard whiteley. where is divine justice when lord tebbitt is still alive and very much kicking?

anyhow i thought dear old mo was a fúcking cracking politician. she did more for northern ireland than any other person of power ever did. she was one of those rare people who don't suffer from power going to their head, no matter how important their job.

she was one of my heroes and i hope they give her a fantastic send off. i was really sad when i heard the news yesterday.

rest in peace mo.

Norman Tebbit is in liquid form now. Thats why you rarely see him on the telly, as they have to paste him together first!

Mo Mowlam was truly a great politician simply because she actually cared about what she was doing and the people she was doing for. Her humility, akwardness and courage to step back and criticise her own parties policies are what I will remember her for. She was one the first politicians to make me actually want to be interested in politics, and she will certainly be missed.

RIP Mo!

She was indeed cracking.

How can I not admire a politician that was athiest, published a book and donated profits to the CND, went inside the Maze prison to negotiate the Northern Irish peace process, admitted drug use, was never afraid to speak out against Labour's policies and still kept going while she was treated for her brain tumour. She definitely sparked my interest in politics back in the nineties and I'm quite saddened to hear of her death. RIP indeed.

As for the Tebbit, I think he's the political equivalent of Mr. Burns.

Oh my god.............. Is MO really dead? I knew nothing off this. I'm actually gutted. Not only was a f-ing great politician, she was the one that did the most for my home country of NI and dragged it outta the dark ages. It's kinda sad. RIP.
