Nearly died of shock when I heard that earlier. One of the best songs I've heard for a while though so shouldn't be surprised, did somebody lock up all the McFly fans this week?
Them being at number one this week is about as surprising as a really unsurprising thing. It seems that after the blip of Franz Ferdinand the British public have finally found someone to replace Oasis in the unworthy hype stakes. Lets see if they can stick around long enough to be writing some real **** in ten years time like those Manc twats, eh?
I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor is nowhere their best song.
They're all I've listened to for months, I've seen them live 3 times, and they are definitely worth the hype! The next single is Sun Goes Down, which is a wicked tune!

I didn't know that! How cool.
Anyhow, finally something decent at number one. Im hoping in the future they re-release Fake Tales...for me it's one of their best tracks, and absolutly crazy live.
Im pretty pissed off that I kept putting off buying the vinyl on ebay when it was going for £10, I want it badly and its going for around £50 now, eurgh!
I went to see the AM's with Rich, Alice and Adam and am unsuprised that they are number one judging that night by their leigon of literally crazy fans, of whom Richard is one.
I did rate them live, and they have produced some likeable indie-pop tunes to boogie too. Plus the guy who plays lead guitair with blond hair is bummable.
Anyway, I am relatively happy they are at number 1. :)

Unlike their lead singer who looks about 12, and their bassist who looks like he should be eating kebabs down at a Sheffield United game.
They had an article on the news about them this morning saying that they've primarily relied on fans in order to get as far as they have. Admittedly they are on Domino Records (home of Franz Ferdinand) so that's bound to have helped a lot, but they were initially discovered after posting demos on the Internet which spread via word-of-mouth, and their rather raucous live gigs. Personally they're fun to dance to, albeit not my musical cup of tea, but I'd much rather them hit number one than someone that awful James Blunt song.

I have no idea who they are. Seen them on Telly for a minute passing through the livingroom. And I can gladly say, it's gonna stay that way. How over-rated can somebody be...................... But that's just my opinion.

...So their main appeal is to people who actually don't listen to music very much?
Just kidding, I bought this song on week of release, so I personally contributed to Arctic Monkeys being Number 1! That's not happened to me since Ace of Base released 'The Sign'!
