winter conference is simple enough, follow constitution n have assembly chair in charge of organising it (and them in possession of forms) with the help of the society committee. That way ppl know who's doing what and communication between the both is still maintained. Thats why it was voted in in the first place.

Am I right in thinking that we are being represented by ex students rather than current students?

If we are I think we need a constitutional change!

Well maybe so, but considering Nic was the only woman who even bothered to submit a manifesto, that's a moot point. Better to have ex students representing us than nobody at all!!

Just the usual bitchy anon's. When they get hit by a number 96 they'll wonder why.

1) Karma
2) The Ex-Student will be driving it!

Well done to those who won x

I always saw Nic as more of a 28 girl myself, ferrying clueless and slightly drunk freshers down to Clarence Dock...

Until the complete end of the academic year (end of June) I'm still classified as a student of Leeds University, only difference is that I'm not a full time student, however that hasn't been an issue all year long for representation within LUU & the University, as well as on a national level (twice so far), if i was an ex-student I would have had 2 have resigned all positions held within LUU and been barred from applying to go to conference etc, due to not having a valid student card or S.I.D number.

Next year I'll be an ex-student and unable to do these things, but I'll still have a high level of involvement in the union as assembly mentor and general support for LGBT rights & politics.

So F.U.C.K off and do your research before making childish bitchy swipes over the forum. Alternatively, if you've got a problem with me come and talk to me, rather than continually flaming me and hiding behind an anon tag. Grow the **** up.

Just as a further note as well, conference was open to all to attend, all people had 2 do was send in an application to go to conference. In accordance with NUS rules, 2 of these places were open place (for either males or females) and 2 places were female.

I was the only female student (yes am still currently a student) who applied to go. If you have a problem with that fact, ask around and find out from others why they didn't apply. Alternatively if ur that bothered about your representation, ask urself, whats better? no representation or a completely valid person providing representation, regardless of whether or not u like them.

Any further personal attacks, bitchy comments or questions about PERSONAL (i.e bugger all to do with you) circumstances surrounding my course and current status of study at Leeds Uni?
