At the mo, I'm loving the social Lupton life. Sitting oustide in the sun, wearing my incredibly cool sunglasses, on my sexy Primark beach towel. Ahhhh.
barbeques! with wine! and good music, maybe a music festival, being able to read what you like without feeling guilty about not reading something else, going on holiday, poisoning pigeons in the park, the sun forces you not to wear black, people sometimes smile (even if it is just wind), going to Chiang Mai, receiving postcards from people, baking without feeling that is an act of rebellion or procrastination, going to Belgian jazz festivals, eating mangoes......
makes cleaning seem much nicer.... sun shining, windows n doors open wi a nice breeze of air circulating & music on full volume singin along badly... am chilled (chilled out while cleaning... am scaring myself!)

More free time, and drinking sangria in the park - very nice. But what wins hands down for me it trendy boys in linen trousers and flip flops, with long messy hair - lol - they seem to come outta the woodwork during the summer - and they are just my thing. yeah.
watching all the trashy little white girls boasting and flouncing about with their fake tans, when it´s blatantly obvious that san tropez orange reeeeeeaaalllllly doesn´t suit them...

p.s.( summer sucks if u have hayfever, a light sensitivity disorder, or just like the dark)

I'm with u on the darkness... that bluddy skylight in my room is a torture device, i've covered it in the blind (white blind wot r the landlords on?), pinned a black shirt over the top & finally as a further measure covered it all with a flag, yet my room is still as light as hell at 6am. Hating how its currently becoming day light at 4am. I think am gonna end up sleeping on the sofa 4 the whole of summer again cos its considerably darker than my room

Used to be crap at dealing with the heat but then I started working in a building with a big glass roof and no airconditioning (local councils always seem to have wonderful ideas like this).

Spring and autumn are lovely, but once the temperature gets over 19 degrees, I melt.
Nah you're not the only one, I can't stand hot weather - my skin thinks it's gone to Brazil, I sweat like crazy, I burn in minutes - horrible! I must be descended from Eskimos.

I melt when its too hot, can't cope with heat like it is at the moment, but the blue skies and all the sunshine does make me go a bit giddy, like seasonal affective disorder in reverse. Can I be cliched as well and point out the smell of cut grass, and creosote on fences (even tho it is evil stuff) and ice cream vans, .........
Sunny weather and blue skies make me really happy too; I think I've got SAD in reverse n all!
The smell of suntan lotion is really nice, it just smells of holidays. And hearing the ice cream van coming is ace! Water fights, in the innocent sense, are fun as well, haven't had any of them for years till recently.
Tho sitting outside talking for hours, with or without booze, is one of the best. And the fact you don't really have anything to do, so you don't feel as guilty doing nothing.
Hayfever sucks majorly though. It's been attacking me in spurts so far this year. And also, the lightness if you really really wanna sleep can be a bit annoying.
