the lake district is officially the wettest place in britain, yorkshire seems positively dry to me (how many other people have had half their city flooded( well not quite half really), carlisle had its police station, fire station and civic centre flooded a year and a half ago, and some poor people didn't get beck into their homes for over a year.) completely off the point now aren't i?

my street was on the news because it was flooded on suday - it was terrible - i had to drive my nice new car through the resultant lake in order to get home - scareyness .....
