Hey guys, by now everyone has probably realised that we are having a picnic in Golden Acre Park this Sunday. (The 24th Sept). Everyone is of course welcome, though i would urge you all to bring some form of food on top of what i'm bringing courtesy of the society. Don't bring barbeque stuff though as the park doesn't allow that kind of thing, it offends the geese. Bring any mates you like, and bring cheap bread for the ducks... Who will steal your sandwiches otherwise. (and there is nothing scares me more than ducks trying to each chicken sandwiches!)
We're going to meet outside the library pub at 12 noon and then all catch the X84 bus together. I should be easily enough recognised, i'll be wearing a GE Money badge with my name on it (as haven't gone in for the "make your own badge" thing. If not, look for the big crowd of LGBT people, and don't be shy to say hello
In an absolute emergency look out for the guy you can see on your screen right now. You see the big picture. The one above this thread. Right. Well, in the bottom right corner you will see a boy in a yellow t-shirt, two hands clamped fearfully to his gin and tonic. Watch out for him. He'll be there!
If for some reason the Gods decide to rain on our parade (which wouldn't be surprising, if you know leeds already you will know it is meteorologically proven that it rains an average of 1.2 days per day in leeds at this time of the year) then we are going to say "sod it" to the whole picnic idea and go to the Hi-Fi Club for Sunday lunch/drinks instead!
So, to recap, 12 noon, sunday, library pub, me with badge, or alberto in yellow t-shirt in case i die during the night..
Oh! and do leave a message below if you are coming.... i'll make you a sandwich! Pret-style!
Well, according the other post about international events, i guess i will be the only real international student to come...but that's ok for me...i just join to the LGBT society today, so i'm yet a bit lost...anyway...on sonday i will come and say "hello" shyfully, hehe... By the way...i'm lawrence, spanish erasmus student...hope to meet everybody on sunday (that just if my, more than secure hangover, allows me to) hehe Lx.
I'm international, too! And I'm the boy hanging on desperately to my gin and tonic in the picture. :oP Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday! xxx

Sorry, guys, but due to financial problems (I lost my cashcard on Friday and can't get it back till Monday, which means no money, basically) I cannot make it to the event today. I hope it's good, though, and that lots of people get to mingle and to enjoy the international vibes of Leeds.
