did anyone realise that leeds was one of the biggest centres for the treatment of homosexuality in england we had a specific wing where they locked gays up and gave them electro shock and aversion therapy. it was situated at St james hospital in the building that stands to the right of thackary medical meuseum.
Along whith this an article in the nursing times read that a doctor was prosecuted in the 90s because he was a specialist in this field during the 50s he treated 100s of LGBTs for perversions and mental illness he was charged with malpractice causing actual bodily harm and abuse of human rights including torture.
cheery note for this time of year knew i hated st james for a reason never felt comfortable working there
Well it aparently only stopped in the 60s-70s but someont told me i was ongiong up untill Homosexuality was removed from the international classification of disease in 1992.
in other news mormons in america are offering electroshok for homoseuality.
An american medical journal published an article that homosexuality can be cured using progressive psychotherapy (welcome to the new liberal 21st century.) worrying that this means america is still experimenting on homosexuals despite constant declorations that it is in genetics not environment. i wonder could we make a hetrosexual person gay through progressive psychotherapy. lets ask Ross to draw up a program to convert one and we can use one of nics prison biatches. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=34943
and some lovely books are avilable on the net.

ahh this year it will be you a two page article and me dressed in a superhero costume with a rainbow flag cape running arround slapping pow, biff, whack stickers on people and handing out badges that say homophobia is gay g-d bless the lib dems
thing is with statements like 'genes cause this or that' e.g. the 'gay gene' is that they very simplified and quite misleading...the whole nature vs. nurture debate is a bit of a waste of time as really, every behaviour is a result of gene-environment interaction (im revising genes at the moment hehe) which is obvious if you think about it...e.g. identical twins have exactly the same genes, but their personalities aren't usually totally the same and even instinctive behaviour e.g. in babies depends on the right environmental trigger. So although there may well be genes that contribute to sexuality, its definitely not the whole story...
i read it in a book i did.
yeah thats true about penguins so ive heard! its really funny because March of the Penguins was apparently supposed to demonstrate good old fashioned heterosexual American family values, when in fact something like 40% of penguins like in same sex pairs...ahhhhhhhh.
I knew someone, who was gay and had an identical twin... who was very straight... but i think a lot of their differences came from things that had happened in their past...

I know identical twins who're both gay so I guess there's no way of knowing
My half-brother is gay so it looks like my dad has the gay gene too - what a vile thought!!

(coughs stands up an opens text book) cambridge uni did a study and found that gay children came from larger families further testing found that this tendency ran soley down ther mothers side andgenetic reaserch found that it seemed to be the case that honosexuality was a by product of an overactive fertility gene in women. hmmmmm could this be because women who have larger families have more children so there is a greater likleyhood of them having a gay one.
also it found that children from single child households were more likley to be straight hmmm could this be because they are under greater pressure to conform and procreate.
this reaserch only applied to men they just felt that lesbians were women whom wished to seek out more emotionally compatable relationships crock of poop most of my muff diving pals just want sex lol.
My only worry about identifying the GAY gene is that once identified steps may be taken to irradicate it the fear of designer babies. will it come to a point where we say right so you wish to have a straight blond haired green eyed female child removal of all cancer risks and improved liver function ok thats £49.50 please do you want to make it twins for an extra £20.00

We so should do something for it - anyone got any suggestions? There's a website with lots of ideas and information for anyone who's interested: www.lgbthistorymonth.org.uk
Incidentally this year is the 50th anniversary of the first major report suggesting that homosexuality should be made legal, and the 40th anniversary of it actually being made legal so it's a bit special eh??

And yes agree whole hartedly we should definatley do it btw its also 8 years since the admiral duncan pub was bombed by a BNP activist so my first celebration suggestion is using nick griffin as a Piñata (although i said this it was merely in the heat of the moment i do not advocate violence of any form except against the Celeb BB housmates)
i blame the catholics. and george micheal. and madonna. why not?
i might be working down at jimmy's next week. in the natwest bit, that is. it's the funniest little two-person bank ever. why do people who are dying want to bank money? if you're sick, come and visit me in money hell. NatWest offer a will-writing service too ;)

hey i use that bank when im up there plus if they had banked money with natwst previously taking advantage of their intrest rates they would have been able to go private and probably wouldnt be about to shuffle off the mortal coil
i am angry and vengeful to natwest once again, as they've taken £280 out of my account for no reason. again! evil banks, from now on i'm keeping my money in an envelope under my bed!
